JB Homer Associates hosted its Fall Women's CIO/CTO Breakfast Roundtable on Oct. 1, 2008. The Breakfast Roundtable offers a forum for top women technology and operations executives from the tri-state area to share with their peers their experiences and concerns about some of the leadership, technology, and personal challenges that women executives face. Attendance at the event was limited to a dozen participants to ensure that the attendees had ample opportunity to network and to fully participate in the roundtable discussion.

The distinguished participants representing a spectrum of industries such as financial services, insurance, retail, consulting and government, included: the CTO of MBIA, the CIO of Travelers Insurance NJ, the Deputy Commissioner/CIO NYC Department of Finance, and a Senior Officer from Computer Generated Solutions.

The roundtable discussion led by Judy Homer, President of JB Homer Associates, focused on topics such as: Dealing with Chaos in an Uncertain Economy; How to Make Your Skills Portable to Other Industries, Dealing with Retention and Morale Issues of Staff; and Why and How Women Network.

As one of the few women-owned retained firms in executive search, JB Homer Associates has spent over 25 years promoting the advancement of women into the executive ranks within the areas of technology and operations across all industries on a global basis.

Anyone interested in participating in the upcoming Spring 2009 Women's CIO/CTO Breakfast Roundtable should make their request by contacting Judy Homer.
